Commitment to the protection of biodiversity - Award
DEFLEX has been committed to sustainability for many years, especially in the field of insect protection. Our approach is not only to protect people in their homes and offices with our insect protection systems, but also to leave insects in their natural habitats, in nature. With the insect protection competition, which we have been sponsoring for 5 years now, we also want to encourage people to incorporate insect protection into their everyday lives and to contribute to the preservation of these important creatures with small or large-scale actions.
With this commitment, DEFLEX has now made it to the final of the competition "The supply chain is alive: transforming supply chains, integrating biodiversity" as one of ten companies. This competition is organized as part of the "Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt" project funded by the BMUV. In addition to the main prize and the special prize for innovative transformation, both of which were awarded by the jury, there was also an audience award. Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke (pictured front center) presented awards to the winning companies for their innovative and exemplary concepts and activities along the biodiversity conservation supply chain at the Axica Forum in Berlin on 14 November.
DEFLEX was not one of the three winners, "but our participation in the final alone confirmed the importance of our commitment to insect protection," emphasizes Reinhard Vinkmann, DEFLEX Marketing and Sales Director (pictured far left). "This means we are on the right track and are continuing to expand our participation strategy."
