Corporate responsibility
We are committed to free and fair competition. Our employees are prohibited from restricting this competition in violation of the law and will be sanctioned. We expect our customers and suppliers to adhere to this principle as well.
Cartels, agreements and non-competition
Every employee is obliged to comply with the relevant laws against the restriction of competition; a dominant market position may not be exploited unlawfully.
In particular, it is prohibited to enter into formal or informal agreements with competitors - including potential market competitors - that have the purpose or actual effect of unlawfully hindering competition. This applies to both tacit and unconsciously concerted practices. In particular, agreements made between competitors on the allocation of territories or customers as well as the exchange of information on prices, supply relationships, conditions, capacities, market shares, margins, costs, special customer information and offer content or behavior are therefore prohibited.
Data protection and information security
Compliance with national and international regulations on the protection of personal data is a matter of course in our company. We take suitable precautions to professionally protect the privacy of our customers, employees, suppliers and other data subjects in accordance with the statutory provisions. We create trust in our data processing through transparency, risk-oriented protective measures and employee training. The unauthorized disclosure or forwarding of confidential information is prohibited both internally and externally in accordance with the applicable laws. By confidential information, we mean all non-public, strategic, financial, technical and business information, including business and trade secrets, both from us and from our business partners.
Corruption and bribery, conflicts of interest
We strictly reject any form of corruption, whether active or passive, and take suitable precautions in our area of responsibility to ensure that the applicable anti-corruption laws are strictly observed. We do not accept bribes (e.g. when deciding on suppliers) and we do not bribe ourselves (e.g. to obtain orders or other advantages). This prohibition applies to any person, in particular to employees (and persons close to these groups) of business partners and competitors, both in Germany and abroad.
Remuneration paid to third parties (e.g. intermediaries such as commercial agents, brokers or consultants) in the form of commissions or in any other form must be appropriate and transparent.
Gifts and invitations are only acceptable if their nature and scope are not such as to improperly influence the recipient's actions and decisions or to create an obligatory dependency. Personal interests must not unduly influence our professional judgment. We disclose actual and potential conflicts of interest in accordance with our internal guidelines and thus subject them to a neutral assessment.
Patents and other industrial property rights
Our own inventions and technologies make an important contribution to the success of our company. The protection of these assets through industrial property rights is essential for our competitiveness. No employee may disclose inventions, new findings and trade secrets to third parties without authorization.
We respect equally effective property rights of third parties; no employee may obtain or use their business secrets without authorization.
"WE PROMOTE THE EFFICIENT USE OF ENERGY AND OTHER VALUABLE RESOURCES. WE MAKE AN IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION THROUGH REUSE AND RECYCLING."
International trade and combating money laundering
Cross-border trade is a matter of course for us. We comply with the applicable legal requirements, e.g. for import and export, intra-Community supply, applicable sanctions and sanctions lists.
We take appropriate measures to comply with the relevant requirements for the prevention of money laundering. To minimize the risk of money laundering, cash payments are neither made nor accepted as a matter of principle
Maintaining accurate records and disclosure
We keep our records accurately, completely, timely, appropriately and comprehensibly in accordance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Where statutory provisions require the disclosure of records, we comply with this obligation.
Human rights, forced labor and child labor
We respect the internationally recognized human rights of all individuals within our sphere of influence. We respect the basic principles set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and corresponding UN documents.
Furthermore, we reject all forms of forced and child labor and are fundamentally opposed to it. We respect collective rights guaranteed by law at all times.
We also expect this understanding and strict compliance from our business partners.
